Beautiful volumetric effects can be created with godrays. Drop them onto any source of light, such as glowing cracks, nuclear bombs and sunsets to simulate the scattering of light through fog.

How to make a Godray Effect in After Effects or Premiere Pro

Length

The length controls how far the Godray should reach. By default, 100 is the best length that covers the entire image. Setting this to a negative value inverts the direction of the Godray.

Quality

If your Godray has any visual artefacts, you can increase the quality of the effect to smooth out the light rays. Reducing this effect is also useful to achieve a stylized effect.

Blurring

Crates Easy Godrays is especially powerful at creating softer faded rays of light, which are hard to achieve in other Godray plugins. Increase this parameter to soften the appearance of the effect.

Tint

You can multiply the color of your godray effect by changing the Tint! This helps you create a warm, cold, sinister or energetic tone on your godray effect.
