How to make a Chromatic Aberration in After Effects or Premiere Pro

Aberration Strength

Once you apply Crates Chromatic Aberration, use the Aberration slider to control how intense the image should be distorted.

Radial

Used to distort the image by rotating it, useful for creating twisted trippy effects!

Centre

Manually reposition the centre of the distorted chromatic aberration. This can be used to keep a certain area clean and sharp.

Scale

An alternative distortion method that scales the image instead of distorting it. Can be used to create a 3D effect!

Steps

Controls the quality of your aberration. Increase this if you notice any banding artefacts in stronger aberrations. You can also choose to reduce this value for a retro effect!
